Prevention
Fewer urgent surprises.
Prevention is not a list you buy. It is a rhythm of visits, matched to age and to how the animal lives.
The year
What usually enters the talk
- 1
Weight
A scale and hands. The number on a food bag is not a plan.
- 2
Teeth
A look once a year, and sooner if bad breath becomes normal.
- 3
Vaccines
Only the ones that make sense for that dog or that cat.
- 4
Parasites
Fleas, ticks, and worms depend on walks and on whether a cat goes out.

Time
A frame, not a prescription
The exact schedule is written after an examination. This is only the order we talk through.
- 1
First months
An examination, growth, and the start of protection by age.
- 2
Adult years
A full visit once a year, and sooner if something changes.
- 3
Older age
A closer look at weight, thirst, and movement.
- 4
Travel
Papers and a chip are settled before the date, not the night before.
Questions
Often asked before a visit
Can a sick animal be vaccinated?
Examination first. If there is a fever, or the animal is flat, the vaccine often waits.
Is a parasite tablet required every month?
Not automatically. It depends on the season, walks, and whether a cat goes out.
What if a vaccine is late?
Come anyway. A delay is not repaired by guessing from the box.
Should we fast before a visit?
Only if we agree that in the reply, for example because of a blood sample.
Are you open all night for emergencies?
No. This is not an overnight hospital. Describe what is happening in the form. Opening hours are not listed, because the clinic is not a real practice.
